立花(りっか)は、いけばなの中でもっとも古い様式です。当時は花を立てる者は自ら山に分け入り、そこに生きる草木をそのまま切り取ってきたのでしょう。けれども今は自然の花材を採ってくることはなかなか叶いません。花屋で手に入りやすい花材を用いて立花を楽しむのが現実的です。
オクロレウカやそけいなどの青々とした草の中に、ひまわりとリアトリスの明るい色が映えます。夏らしい元気いっぱいな立花になりました。
Rikka is the oldest style in ikebana. Long ago, the people who arranged it would go into the mountains themselves and cut whatever plants grew there. These days, though, it’s hard to gather materials from nature that way. It’s more realistic to enjoy rikka using flowers that are easy to find at a flower shop.
Among the fresh greens of ochroleuca and jasmine leaves, the bright colors of sunflowers and liatris really stand out. It turned into a lively, summery Rikka.
