夕霧草

紫色の花を集めたいけばなです。夕暮れの少し薄暗くなってきた部屋の中で、濃い紫、薄い紫、それぞれの色が静かに息をしています。

美しい色彩が目を引きますが、それだけではありません。高く伸びた二本の濃紫の花は、夕霧草という名のとおりに、霧の中に立つ樹影のようにも見えます。そして足元からすっと伸びる細い茎が、その静かな緊張感を支えています。

花というものは、つい咲いた部分ばかりに目が向きがちですが、いけばなが捉える美はそれだけではありません。茎の曲がり、間の取り方、わずかな傾き――そうしたものが、その草花の生きてきた軌跡を感じさせてくれます。

This ikebana uses purple flowers. In the slightly dark room at dusk, the deep purple and light purple colors quietly come to life.

The beautiful colors catch the eye, but there is more to see. The two tall dark purple flowers, called Yugiriso, look like tree shadows standing in the mist. The thin stems rising straight from the base create a quiet sense of tension.

When we look at flowers, we often focus only on the blooms. But ikebana finds beauty in more than that. The curves of the stems, the spaces between them, and their slight movements make us feel the life and history of each plant.
